What is Membership with TaFF?   

Membership with TaFF establishes your company in our international business network, and empowers you to contribute meaningfully to voices advocating for sustainable growth in our industry.

Our ecosystem promotes:

Ordinary

Ordinary Membership is industry-level membership that gives companies the full range of benefits afforded by the association, and allows them to play a key role in representing the industry with their voices.  

Open to all fashion industry businesses, our plethora of members run the gamut from young start-ups, to veteran brands, large retail chains, energetic SMEs, to keystone manufacturers for some of the most well-known labels in the global fashion marketplace.

Eligibility: Companies, branches of foreign companies, partnerships, sole- proprietorships, and firms, engaged in the Fashion Industry and which are registered in Singapore and maintain such registration may be admitted as an Ordinary Member.  

Application: Any Applicant who wishes to become a Member will have to submit an Application to the Federation for consideration and approval at its entire discretion. A copy of the Applicant’s ACRA Business Profile must be submitted together with the completed correct Application Form. 

Benefits and privileges: A Member shall be entitled to enjoy all membership privileges and/or benefits of the Federation in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions provided that at the time that such privileges and/or benefits are to be enjoyed by the Member:  

  • The Member’s membership has not expired or been terminated or suspended; and /or 
  • The Member does not owe the Federation any money. 

Benefits are not transferable and cannot be distributed to non-subscribers, and any violation of such shall be deemed a violation of membership terms. 

Abidance: All members shall abide by the by the Terms & Conditions of Membership, and by the governance and Constitution of TaFF.

Associate

Associate Membership with TaFF is an industry-supporter level membership reserved for educational and cultural institutions, government bodies, associations, chambers, and foreign companies; allowing them to stay connected to the heart of the industry and leverage on its international professional network.

Eligibility: Any business entity, society or association whether registered in Singapore or elsewhere and any government institutions and agencies, provided they do not qualify as an Ordinary Member, may be admitted as an Associate Member (Corporate). 

Application: Any Applicant who wishes to become a Member will have to submit an Application to the Federation for consideration and approval at its entire discretion. A copy of the Applicant’s ACRA Business Profile must be submitted together with the completed correct Application Form.  

Benefits and privileges: A Member shall be entitled to enjoy all membership privileges and/or benefits of the Federation in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions provided that at the time that such privileges and/or benefits are to be enjoyed by the Member:

Professional

Professional Membership is for individuals who do not yet have a fashion business, and is open to industry freelancers, post-graduates, students, fashion enthusiasts, and more. Members at this level enjoy introductory benefits, and have access to the community network. For young professionals, this serves as a bridge into the industry afforded by Ordinary Membership.

Eligibility: Any Person whether residing in Singapore or elsewhere, acting in an individual personal capacity, may be admitted as a Professional Member. 

Application: Applicants for Professional Members must complete the digital membership application form at  and pay the requisite entrance and subscription fees. Acceptance of the application for Professional Membership will be subject to approval by the Federation at its entire discretion.  

Benefits and privileges: A Member shall be entitled to enjoy all membership privileges and/or benefits of the Federation in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions provided that at the time that such privileges and/or benefits are to be enjoyed by the Member:  

  • The Member’s membership has not expired or been terminated or suspended; and /or 
  • The Member does not owe the Federation any money.

Terms & Conditions of Membership

Application 

  • All required information must be provided in order for this application to be processed. Incomplete application will result in a delay in processing. Please be reminded to supplement with a copy of ACRA Business Profile when you send in the application. 
  • Applicants will be informed of approved application within 10 days.
  • Fees should be made together with application.
  • Access to member privileges and benefits is only conferred following the completion of the application process, including the complete payment of all necessary fees. 

 Renewal 

  • Membership is automatically renewed on a yearly basis until members express their request to terminate the membership through submission of the Membership Termination Form. 
  • All OM and AM subscriptions begin on 1st May every year, and end on 30th April every year. PM subscriptions begin renewing a year from the date of first joining. 
  • For OMs and AMs, a renewal notice and bill for the next subscription year will be sent 2-3 months before the end of the current subscription year. For PMs, a renewal charge will be automatically made on the method of initial purchase of the membership on the TaFF website. 
  • Members must make timely payment of the bill in order to remain in good standing with the association. Only members in good standing continue to have access to member privileges and benefits. 
  • If the company annual sales turnover increases beyond its existing tier for the next subscription, the company is to notify TaFF accordingly. Failure to do so may result in penalties. 

Termination 

  • Membership may be terminated at any time by giving TaFF one (1) months’ notice in writing with the duly completed Termination Form. The effective date of termination of membership shall be one (1) month from the date of receipt of the written notice. All pre-paid fees are non-refundable.  
  • The Membership Termination Form can be requested by email. 
  • All outstanding fees must be paid upon termination of membership. 
  • Members in arrears for 90 days past the stipulated due date of any invoice will be automatically terminated. 
  • TaFF also reserves the right to terminate members in accordance with the terms stated in the Constitution, or for any violation of these Terms & Conditions of membership. 
  • Once a member has been terminated, all member benefits and resources will be immediately revoked. 
  • Terminated members who wish in future to rejoin the association will be required to (re)pay the prevailing entrance fee, plus prevailing taxes.

  • All members shall abide by the by the governance and Constitution of TaFF. 
  • The TaFF council reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions of TaFF membership as it deems fit.
