TaFF (Textile and Fashion Federation) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore, and plays an active role in supporting and developing the industry by positioning Singapore as an innovative fashion hub with a focus in three key areas: Technology & Innovation, Sustainability, and Asian Craftsmanship.
TaFF champions programmes which build capabilities, expand Singapore’s fashion and textile businesses internationally, and promote environmentally-friendly business practices. We aim to bolster the growth of local fashion designers and retailers and advocate the importance of raising the visibility of homegrown brands both locally and all around the globe.
Our range of programmes includes local and international go-to-market opportunities, resources for brand growth and business development, community events and conferences, educational talks, seminars and masterclasses, and mentorship, guidance and consultation on a range of important industry-related topics.
TaFF works in close partnership with government bodies such as Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Tourism Board, Design Singapore, JTC, MCCY, as well as with foreign embassies and other trade associations and organisations, to place the local fashion industry at the forefront of policy and opportunity.
TaFF is a member of the Asia Fashion Federation and the ASEAN Federation of Textiles Industries.

Chief Executive Officer
Semun joined TaFF in Apr 2018. Prior to TaFF, she was with SGTech (Formerly known as Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF)) and had helmed the organisation for 11 years ago as its Executive Director.
Before joining SGTech, she was the General Manager for Caliper (Singapore office), a HR Consulting Organisation with HQ based in Princeton; and had also worked in Motorola Electronics for 10 years. During which she headed functional roles such as Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Product Marketing for the Mobile Device Business in SEA. Se Mun was subsequently appointed Regional Director to head the SEA Accessory Business which she grew the business exponentially.
She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management and MBA with NUS and started her career in Fuji Xerox Singapore.
After graduating from National University of Singapore with a degree in Psychology and Sociology, Jeanne started her career with Singapore Airlines as a cabin crew. She has amassed experience across diverse industries including automobile (with Subaru and Mitsubishi), garment manufacturing (with Ghim Li Global) and until most recently with Enterprise Singapore, developing local retail and F&B companies.
Jeanne now spearheads TaFF’s strategic partnerships with external organisations.
Director, The Bridge Fashion Incubator Programme (TBFI)
Jo Soh is an award-winning Singaporean designer and entrepreneur whose womenswear label called “hansel” debuted at Australian Fashion Week in 2003 and has been carried in boutiques in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.A. The label received glowing reviews in the press and had dressed international stars like Katy Perry.
Jo graduated from the renowned Central St. Martins in London and honed her skills working in London, Italy, New York and Singapore. After running hansel for over 12 years, she was brought on board as Head of Fashion for established British label, Laura Ashley.
Jo Soh is currently heading The Bridge Fashion Incubator programme at TaFF which focuses on fashion entrepreneurship and incubation.
Director, Marketing & Events
Perng is responsible for the development and management of TaFF’s marketing programs, including strategic planning, KPI goals, budget management, execution, and ROI tracking. Prior to TaFF, she was the executive director of a non-profit social enterprise called Creating Responsible Innovative Businesses (CRIB) which is the leading community for women entrepreneurs In Singapore. During her time at CRIB, she oversaw the successful leadership and management of CRIB by overseeing the programs, administration, fundraising and strategic plan of the organization. Before starting her career in the non-profit sector, Perng has previously worked in Bank of America, HSBC, Charter Private Bank, Michael Kors Inc. and had started her own real estate team at Keller Williams Realty firm. Perng holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington in Seattle and a Fashion Marketing degree from Parsons, The New School of Design in New York City. She has close to 15 years’ experience in business development with a proven track record of driving productivity through building partnerships and maintaining client relationships. Perng’s passion is to make an impact through her work by helping others rise to their potential in their professional or personal goals.
Director, Design Resource Development
Leonard Augustine Choo is an international costume designer, textile shopper, bespoke tailor, and fashion lecturer currently based in Singapore. Leonard has been principal shopper for the New York City Ballet for 12 seasons, a tailor for the Julliard school, FOX and HBO, and has designed work in New York, Boston, Suzhou, and Singapore. He also lectures regularly on vintage and historical fashion, costuming for the performing arts, and fine craftsmanship. Leonard holds a Master in Fine Arts from Boston University, and in 2011 was awarded the Singapore National Arts Council Overseas Arts Scholarship – the first and only costume designer awarded in the country’s history.
Manager, The Bridge Fashion Incubator Programme
Grace Nandar is an experienced fashion designer who has dealt with diverse products across various market sectors. She has been involved in a broad range of working partnerships; from freelancing to local small-medium enterprises to international brand. Through her working experience, she developed an understanding of the operations of business of different scales.
With her emphasis on creative thinking and problem-solving, Grace seeks to create a systematic and seamless framework to journey alongside with the TBFI entrepreneurs as the Programme Manager.
Jasmine is a Market Outreach Officer who take cares of Membership.
Before joining TaFF, Jasmine has spent five years as a Cabin Crew with Singapore Airlines and six years as a VIP Host in the casino. Her effective skills in customer service will help to contribute to the TaFF community.

Assistant Manager, Marketing
Jiayi has over 5 years of experience in PR & Marketing Communications for the luxury retail industry and have worked with international fashion houses including Valentino, Givenchy, TOM FORD and Marc Jacobs. Versed in traditional, digital and social communications, she played an essential role in developing PR and Marketing strategies for the brands and spearheaded customer-engagement events that delivered on the brand and business goals. Driven by her passion for fashion, she is a positive self-starter and motivated individual who is able to accomplish and excel in all circumstances.
Pauline Kwan possesses a Masters in Mass Communication from NTU with ten years of experience in marketing and strategic project management across Non Profit organizations and the public sector.
Pauline also has 2 years of experience leading a team of ten in events management, QSM, facilities management, course management, and grassroots led projects in a Ministerial Ward Community Club.
As the finance manager, Zhen Wei oversees financial reporting, budgeting and analysis for the organization on a timely basis to ensure optimum deployment of its financial resources. He has enhanced the organization’s financial system to increase productivity. Prior to joining TAFF, Zhen Wei worked in a civil engineering consulting firm specializing in oil and gas where he oversaw over 100 projects in ensuring smooth operation and project delivery.
Zhen Wei was awarded Ngee Ann Achievement Scholarship and was placed in Director’s List for 4 consecutive semesters for outstanding academic performance. Being a self-motivated individual, he researched extensively and manages his own investment portfolio for over 10 years and is a firm believer of Warren Buffet’s value investing philosophy.
Yuan’s role as the Account Executive in the finance department is ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately represented. She assists in managing the organizational resources and delivering optimal financial results. She graduated with a First-Class Honours bachelor degree from the University of Birmingham before joining TaFF in late October 2019. During her final year in university, she specialized in digital financing and crowd-funding. Her past working experience in accounting and auditing at SPH and Reanda International has equipped her with the essential IAS and IFRS knowledge. As a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional, Yuan is working towards to her CA certification.
Eddie’s role as Customer Service Executive in our The Cocoon Space, He assists in managing the event, facility service and graphic design in TaFF. He graduated from Fashion Design at LASALLE College of the Arts, His past working experience in Jo Malone London, Singapore and Digital Media Marketing at Koipy Singapore.
Before joining TAFF, Mido freelances in the local theatre industry as well as assisting for touring theatrical productions. She had experienced for touring shows such as The Lion King Musical, Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Aladdin, Giselle, Swan Lake and many more. She also worked with local theatre companies like Pangdemonium Productions, Toy Factory, Dream Academy and Wild Rice to name a few. With over 10 years in the industry, she is specialised in Costume/Wardrobe Management and is upscaling herself in the costume constructions. She is thrilled to be part of TAFF to help manage the Makers Studio. Happily married with a wonderful husband and 6 cats at home, Mido always looks forward to be home.
Pailin Wee is a Management Executive at Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore), who helps with the administration of Lead Projects and other corporate aspect of the organisation. Before joining TAFF, Pailin spent 2 years in SCCCI as an events and membership coordinator helping to run various membership initiatives such as golfing events and sit-down banquet events. Previously, she has also interned in IPSOS Singapore, where she is based in the healthcare department helping with transcribing, interviewing and surveying of the respondents. She graduated in National University of Singapore and majored in Sociology. During her free time, she likes to play the saxophone.
Executive,Design Resource Development
Afiq supports the Design Resource Development initiatives at TaFF, enabling access for local brands to global fashion resources. Before joining TaFF, his experience in public relations, events management, and training & development motivated him to go from supporting individuals to businesses. Afiq’s two diplomas; New Media, Fashion Business and a degree in Communications, underscores his commitment to be equipped to support the growth of local fashion businesses. Dedicated to finding new opportunities and solutions for local businesses via the Fashion Resource List, Afiq applies design thinking methods on top of tapping on digital resources such as Omnilytics and Business of Fashion.
The Cocoon Space
TaFF launched The Cocoon Space at Design Orchard with the vision to provide the local fashion industry a hub to collaborate, develop and groom local talents. The Cocoon Space symbolizes a safe developmental place of growth where the process of conceptualization to refined outcomes is allowed to take place.
The Bridge Fashion Incubator (TBFI)
Supported by the Singapore government, the 16-week incubator programme identifies and grooms early stage Fashion, Beauty brands and related Tech startups to refine and validate their products, services or solutions, and commercialisation strategies.
